The doctors and staff of Whitesburg Animal Hospital are whole-heartedly committed to educating the public and raising awareness regarding the medical needs and conditions affecting pets. Some of the ways in which we are able to give back include speaking at local schools and holding “Ask the Doc” presentations.
We also volunteer our time and services by working with various shelters and rescue groups, including performing low-cost spays and neuters for pets adopted through the City of Huntsville Animal Services. In the past, our staff has raised money to provide pet oxygen masks to every fire department in the City of Huntsville and bulletproof protection to the Huntsville Animal Control officers. We have also participated in the Morris Foundation fundraiser Unite to Fight Pet Cancer.
Whitesburg Animal Hospital also holds an annual holiday food drive to benefit Manna House. We have successfully provided a week of groceries to 40 families each year! The pet food that is collected during the food drive is donated to local animal shelters.
We are extremely proud of our Angel Adoption Program, which provides funds for the care and treatment of a homeless pet until a forever home can be found. The program runs solely on donations from our staff, clients, and community. Since we established our program under the Veterinary Care Foundation’s charitable foundation umbrella, your gift is now tax-deductible.
Our work with these organizations and our Angel Adoption Program is a labor of love. It is also an opportunity for us to give back to our clients and our community.
